Recently departed Sage EVP Specialty Solutions Robert Deshaies didn’t merit a mention in yesterday’s memo from Sage CEO Pascal Houillon announcing yet another series of realignments in North America.
Looks as if Deshaies joins Evolution1, whose web site claims they are the nations largest electronic payment, on-premise and cloud computing healthcare solution that administers health related reimbursement accounts.
According to the press release Deshaies joins as an Executive Vice President where he apparently will do
a little bit of everything except the accounting and programming…
Deshaies will be responsible for further accelerating growth and increasing the presence of Evolution1 in the market. He will oversee human resources, sales, focused business development, marketing, revenue, and public relations.

Deshaies will partner with Evolution1 execs Chris Byrd, president, Jeff Brunsberg, chief market officer, and Laine Brantner, executive vice president, to deliver a world-class Partner experience. Deshaies will be responsible for further accelerating growth and increasing the presence of Evolution1 in the market. He will oversee human resources, sales, focused business development, marketing, revenue, and public relations. He brings more than 25 years of industry and Partner model experience to Evolution1. Most recently, he served as executive vice president of specialty solutions at Sage where he lead the company’s Sage Fixed Assets, Employer Solutions, Value product families, the Sage Construction and Real Estate (CRE) business, and Sage Nonprofit Solutions. Prior to Sage, he was vice president of the U.S. Partner group with Microsoft, accountable for Partner strategy, group management, business development, marketing, and sales. He has also led sales, marketing, and services for Microsoft’s eastern region, including all products and Partner channels.
Last year Evolution1 increased its participant base by 60 percent and is tracking for similar growth this year. Currently the company has more than 450 Partners providing services to more than 60,000 employers who in turn serve more than eight million consumers.
