Donald Deshaies Departs As Sage North America VP Channel Management

deshaiesI’m hearing from sources that Donald Deshaies has departed as channel chief for Sage North America after spending a little over a year in the position. His replacement would appear to be Rich Spring who was announced in an April 20, 2014 email.

This is a fairly recent departure since Deshaies was on the April 16, 2015 partner sales conference call.

Deshaies arrived at Sage in February 2014 replacing Tom Miller who’d departed in March 2013. Prior to arriving at Sage Deshaies spent 8 years at Microsoft.

Rich Spring carries the title of EVP and Chief Revenue Officer.  Prior to arriving at Sage he spent 18 years at Symantec

A formal announcement has yet to be made by Sage and I’ve yet to hear back from an inquiry seeking confirmation.

The following is a part of the channel wide announcement for Rich Spring which was sent April 20, 2015:

I am delighted to announce that Rich Spring has joined Sage North America in the role of chief revenue officer (CRO). Rich assumes responsibility for the new customer acquisition group, with a key focus on exceeding new revenue growth targets, while adding greater value on behalf of our customers. He will also supervise and lead the channel strategy for Sage North America. Rich reports directly to me, with the Irvine office serving as his primary home base.

Deshaies follows the January 2015 departure of Joe Langner EVP Mid-Market Solutions Sage North America and comes amidst what one source describes a general Sage North America re-organization of titles and positions.
