Sage Reorganization: North American CEO Pascal Houillon Departs

meeting

In what will likely kick off a broad reorganization Sage today announced North American CEO Pascal Houillon has left the company effective May 6, 2015. No successor was named and the company indicates a search for a replacement is underway.

The announcement, made in conjunction with their 6 month earnings release, outlines a 4% organic revenue increase as well as drastic decline in Sage Payments growth for North America.

Other notable recent departures within North America include Joe Langner – EVP MidMarket Solutions and Donald Deshaies – VP Channel Management.

Within the last six months Sage North America added Rich Spring as Chief Revenue Officer whose task will, not surprisingly, be to increase revenues.

According to several sources Sage North America has been reorganizing internally with various levels of executives being invited to re-apply for their position.

It does not appear the internal reorganization is over and the appointment of a new CEO will almost certainly introduce more executive level changes and possibly broader product and strategic shifts.

The Sage 6 month release also notes that the company is working with Salesforce to introduce a small business offering on the Salesforce1 platform. Expect more news May 13, 2015 when Sage’s Stephen Kelly meets with Salesforce’s Marc Benioff for a press discussion.
